Well, we are a people of very few numbers. Many tribes have recently redefined their membership to include people of less blood quantum. (Grandparents wanting their white grandchildren on the rolls, etc.) We are getting so thinned out that, yes, I believe some tribes are in jeaopardy. I don't see an Indian tribe as a social club. I see it as a genuine biological, ethnolicial entity. I for one would like to preserve it. There are unique things about it. This is not disdain for other races, this is love of one's own race. Can there not be such a position?

Can there not be such a position? Well, I'm slightly familiar with a similar position here regarding native Hawaiians.
I tend to see a special beauty in the children of "mixed race" marriages...
