Good movie. I thought when the hand surfaced from the water, it was in somebody dream.....was it?
It was a dream, but the terror of the moment was that Jon Voight's character could not escape the victim. Even from the deep of the new lake, it reached out to him, and he realized he would live in fear for the rest of his days that his 'dream' would come true.
Kinda like Poe's 'Telltale Heart' in a a way.
