I don't know what it's all about but mostly about bluff, I think. On or about march 15th MPD went to the DA with all they had. They put it on the table and told the DA that they wanted to arrest Scott and go for a non body murder trial. The DA said flat no, not enough to indict. There was no proof of homocide and no acceptable connection between Scott and the crime if any

You see, all this circumstantial evidence not only has to stand alone, it has to group together to form a logical criminal path TO THE CERTAIN EXCLUSION OF POSSIBILITY OF ALL OTHER PATHS logical or criminal, if a conviction is to be obtained and upheld...IMHO...

Also this case has no DIRECT connective evidence except the connection of laci and connor to death and the connectin of Scott to the Marina. Nothing. There is NO direct connective criminal forensics,(blood etc.)in sufficient quantity; that was evidently b/s as it turns out. Additionaly, NO human witnesses have appeared that can make the required connection.

IMHO... if the bodies had been found anywhere else Scott would probably still be free, in fact I know he would. Scott delivered the only acceptable piece of connective circumstantial evidence to us;the receipt from Berkley.

This is good, as far as it goes, and I hope it is adequate for two life terms(Special circumstances) W/o parole. If the DA tries to pile more non-direct circumstantial evidence on top, in an attempt at Capital Punishment, there is a possible risk that it will all come falling in like a house of cards, as happens on occasion. Then it would all be over.

It appears LE is aware of this B/C as of this time the DA is not asking for the Death Penalty

The above is FWIW:FYI....;-0)

I don't think we would hear if the DA would ask for the death penalty before arriagnment...formal charges have not even been brought yet.
At pre-trial the evidence will be presented and we will find out then what penalty will be sought.
They might have found plenty of blood at the home with liminol testing BEFORE the bodies were found but that alone could not prove that a murder took place...she lived there.
Now that she has been found, they could put the pieces together.

Thanks for your post Ray. I agree, the stroke of good luck involved in Laci and Connor washing up in the area of Scott's alibi was the direct connective evidence LE needed, for an arrest. I also am hopeful, along with all the circumstantial evidence like: unacounted for concrete anchors, the surprise boat for Laci, blood in the vehicle, missing umbrellas,Amber & her stories of a dead wife and Scott's business trip till January, the possiblility of blood and stomach fluids on the mop. I am optimistic LE will be able to get a double homicide conviction and death penalty.
