You know, there are lots of folks who don't watch TV or read the news paper. Not everyone is a news hawk or political junkie or a who dunnit devote.

If it weren't for FR I might be a clueless of current events.

Your are exactly right. For too often I've taken for granted that just about everyone else is a news junkie like me. And when I realize they're not, I'm left dumbfounded. But then there's probably something good about not being such a news/political junkie....I'd probably get a lot more done, be a bit more carefree about life, and reduce my stress level. But I think I'm hopelessly addicted. These are such incredible times in which we live, and I am just so compelled to stay in touch with what's going on, and to read, read, read, and READ SOME MORE, and to listen and watch all that goes on...as much as I can. Whew! Who has time for life?!!! (Just kidding.) Fortunately for me, my DH and I are almost totally similar in this regard, and we don't have young children anymore who would need our attention as much.
