It's as if God is saying to all of us, "Heads up, folks!!! This is pure, unvarnished EVIL we're dealing with here! I hate to be this obvious, with the Christmas Eve/Palm Sunday/Good Friday schtik, but some of you seem so blind to evil, it seems you need a ton of bricks to fall on you to get your attention! Evil exists! Believe it, and keep praying!!!"
Yes. God is always working behind the scenes, in ways that only the discerning can see, while those who are clueless and oblivious go about their lives completely unaware. Sometimes He has to hit people right over the head to get their attention, and sadly, many still don't wake up from their stupor.
