Apr. 18 (AP) — ABC7 News has learned that the adult body found near the Richmond marina earlier this week is that of Laci Peterson. ABCNEWS has learned that Scott Peterson has been arrested in San Diego and is being transported to Modesto.

The state's DNA laboratory in Richmond has been "working 24-seven" to determine if the remains are those of Laci Peterson and the son she was due to bear in February, said Hallye Jordan, a spokeswoman for the state Attorney General's office.

The two bodies were found one day and about a mile apart by people walking the San Francisco bay shoreline.

Crime lab technicians were comparing DNA swabbed from the mouths of Laci Peterson's parents and taken from Laci Peterson's hairbrush with samples from the two corpses.

The insurance company can raise their own defenses and probably hold payment on the claim until after a trial. They don't want to pay on this claim, you can bet that and insurance companies have a lot of power when it comes to paying on claims. There's a powerful insurance lobby for one thing.

And, there's the matter of actually reading the policy line by line. The policy dictates what happens in any situation.

An elderly couple that lived close by said on TV, I think it was Greta's show, that they had seen her that a.m. walking her dog.

Yes...I heard about this, but it appears their story was discounted as, believe it or not, there was another pregnant woman of similar build and coloring who walked her dog in that neighborhood as well. At least this is what I've heard, more than once.
