I just discussed this with my almost 20 year old daughter. We agreed that we would stand by our guilty child if they killed someone, but we wouldn't be out there defending the indefensible or lying about it or blaming other people. We would hire a good lawyer and stay by their side during the trial. We would visit them in jail. But we would not try to get them off with murdering their spouse and child. We would still love our guilty child. But we would keep our mouths shut about the case.

Watching Jackie and Lee talk about this event and trying to put it in "context" was absolutely revolting. It must be wonderful to have such keen insight, to be able to know all answers, to have total understanding of what Laci wanted and needed, especially comforting for the Rochas...NOT

Lee is living in fantasy land! I would NOT try to get my kid off if he committed murder, especially if it were my grandchild. I would visit them in jail, hire a good lawyer, but I would not try to gain freedom for them if they were killers.

I wouldn't although I will acknowledge that it may be a natural inclination. I would want my child to pay their debt to society. It's a cliche, but actions have consequences ... and people have responsiblity. If you do the crime, you do the time.

Think back a couple of months.

Laci's Due Date was always Feb. 10th. When it was discovered that Amber Frey's Birthday was Feb. 10th, the Peterson's suddenly revised Laci's due date to Feb. 16th.

It was news to the Rocha's..

Well did their DNA match Laci's and Scott's?????? The body they found last week matched Laci's DNA and the baby matched Scott and Laci DNA - so what was Jackie's point bringing up similar cases anyway???? Maybe Scott killed other pregnant women too????

Jackie's cautions to Lee probably stem from the fact that Lee famously said he KNEW the affair thing wasn't true, and in fact it turned out to be true. And also, Lee was the one going on about Scott having called him on the 24th, when Scott's story evidently didn't include anything about a phone call to Lee.

Yeah, we have yet to hear any angst for Laci and their own grandson from the Peterson family. Very odd.

I would help them get a lawyer for their trial, I would visit them in jail, but I would NOT try to keep them out of prison, IF they were guilty of murder. My kids know that. We have discussed that forever.
