Scott's a fisherman as much as Geraldo is a lawyer, lol! (Why would Geraldo bother using his much-vaunted law degree from some unaccredited school, anyway? He makes a whole pile more money just being his current wonderful self!)

I really don't think there is a soul who will believe him if he now says it was an accident and "he didn't mean to hurt her." Yeah, right, Scott! If it was an accident, why didn't you call the paramedics??
Whether or not Scott has gotten away with murder before, I just feel absolutely sure that we will find a pattern of continuous DECEPTION that has gone on for his whole life.
That Dillon guy sounds interesting--wasn't that the one who killed hunters with a high-powered rifle, way out in the country?

Someone may have posted this before I answer (believe it or not I've read this whole bloomin' thread). ASU is in Tempe, part of the PHX metro area. Actually, it's about 20 minutes from me. I graduated from there in '86.

Hey, MM! Can I just jump in here for a minute? It was my understanding that the insurance policy was double indemnity, which would mean, if she died as the result of a boating "accident" while pregnant, old Scottie would have received $500k in lieu of $250k. I also understood that the policy was taken out in late summer (July, August). My theory, FWIW, is that he was going for getting her out on the boat alive on a day when there were no witnesses, push her overboard, making sure she drowned, and bingo, no Laci, no baby, just a free Scottie who was $500k richer, not to mention her share of the estate.

FUR SHURE we should worry about his mental health. I would say he is a psycho/sociopath cold blooded killer -- lock him UP!

Well, according to the article CC posted, at last there were tears. (Maybe real ones, this time?) "His eyes welled up and he looked like he was going to cry."
He was (supposedly) smiling as he waited to get his boat back out of the water that day, Dec. 24. He is crying now.
Sigh, sigh, sigh.
