well, the SLO PD and SLO Sheriffs are not the best invesigative body in CA. I remember when two other girls disappeared later, the local authorities were frozen. Eventually the FBI was called in, and after looking who was recently parolled into the area, solved the crimes in a week. That area seems to have a lot of student murders, suicides, etc.

It has to be premeditation. His actions don't resemble what you'd expect from someone who accidentally killed, then tried to cover it up. His arrogance has premeditation written all over it, IMHO.

To you and me that would be a horrible thing to have to watch. To Scott, I'm not so sure. It's like he is removed from reality or dead or something. I don't think it would bother him at all but if he thought it could help him, I'm sure he could put on an act.

I just saw that side by side picture of him on Fox again...and burst out laughing. What a dork. Now you know why no one had seen him, he was changing his looks! I can't believe he didn't realize he was under surveillance. Wonder what else they have on him if he thought he wasn't under watch.

You know Maggie, I'm convinced that Laci died within hours AFTER she spoke with her Mom on December 23rd.!! I think Snott had all night to roll her up and tie it up tight and then put her in his tool box in the back of the truck so that he could attach the PRE-made anchors in the early morning and drop her to the bottom of the ocean. As Dr. Cyril Wecht said, "Those bodies were NOT supposed to surface again". That ruined it ALL for Snott. Although I believe they would have tried him anyway. The blonde look - now that had to be his OJ version of how to escape to Mexico. These physco's are all the same.

I agree with you Jackie. I think this was WELL planned and premeditated. He knew EXACTLY when he was going to carry this out!! Everything was ready and the story was rehearsed. He even got a haircut to look spiffy for the occasion. GACK GACK GACK!!

Scott's new hair style looks like a stylist did it. It looks like it has been pulled through a cap with the holes in it and bleached. The same for the beard and mustache. He had it done, IMO. Scott couldn't do that to himself because it hurts. lol!

I tend to agree that it was premeditated.

Also, there was a report (perhaps not accurate) that he had been checking on his computer about the tides.

IMHO, Att. Gen. Lockyer was grandstanding at the press conference. He was the only one who read every word he said. Then he pops up on Larry King, making me wonder of he is CNN's boy.

It's more complicated than that. He wanted to escape his responsibilities, to be sure, but he also had to do it in a way that would keep his "image" intact... He couldn't take the dissapproval, (especially having to step down from the lifelong pedestal his parents put him on) that would come his way if he abandoned wife and child....

He wanted to not only be free of "burdens" but to keep his "standing" in the world...
