One thing that really got me was the fact that he was arrested at the golf course, at a time when his family has just washed ashore.

Maybe someone can clarify, but I don't think he was actually playing golf nor was he at the course....but that he was pulled over and arrested on Torrie Pines Road near a golf course....or was he in fact on his way to play golf? Can anyone confirm?

My son said the same thing, he should just confess & save the family the horror of having to relive it all in a trial! I say buy him some cement shoes & drop him in the same water!! Let's see...Scott told the police that the last time he saw Laci she was walking her dog in Modesto. He said he proceeded to the Richmond area 90 miles from Modesto to go fishing. The dolt even produced a parking receipt to bolster his "alibi."

Laci and Connor's bodies washed up 4 months later within 2 miles of Scott's alibi spot. That is, 90 MILES from where Scott said he last saw Laci.

Looks like there is a direct connection between Laci and Connor's remains and Scott after all and no doubt a smart prosecuter has already noted the same.

It is so sad...how could someone do that to such a beautiful woman? I don't mean to imply that anyone should be murdered, but why would anyone take that course of action?

It would have been far better to divorce her, due to his marital unfaithfulness to her, then to kill her. I guess he figured it would bring him more money this way.

A woman like her would have eventually found someone else who would love her, marry her, and treat her child as his own. Scott Peterson deprived her family and robbed that someone because of his wickedness.

Police feared Peterson would flee

Scott Peterson, whose parents live in San Diego, was driving there when he was taken into custody, Wasden said, adding that the arrest was made before the DNA tests had been completed.

Lockyer said authorities feared Peterson would flee if he became aware of the developments in the case.

"He was in San Diego, near the [Mexican] border ... perhaps since he was aware of the fact that there was surveillance that he might try to run," the attorney general said.

"Driving up and down the freeway, he was aware of surveillance teams, was waving at them and being kind of a smart aleck, and so they finally decided that they ought to just pull him in," Lockyer said, adding that police had followed Scott "for a number of days, maintaining surveillance, wiretaps on phones, trackers on vehicles to try to accumulate the evidence."

The arrest took place in the parking lot of the Torrey Pines Municipal Golf Course, witnesses said.

Police detectives are escorting Scott Peterson back to Modesto after having made the arrest in San Diego today. The Modesto Police Department said it attained the arrest warrant Thursday afternoon for various reasons including Peterson's location close to the Mexican border, Police Chief Roy Wasden said.

I believe it was mentioned on FNC that he was arrested in the parking lot and that he also had his golf clubs with him ..
