Texas Right to Life PAC Congressional Endorsement

The Texas Right to Life Political Action Committee announces the endorsement of Representative Carl Isett for U.S. Congress, District 19.

Texas Right to Life has worked closely with Representative Isett since he became a member of the Texas Legislature in 1997, and we believe he should have your vote for U.S. Congress. Early voting began April 16th, and will continue through April 29th. Election Day is Saturday, May 3.

Rep. Isett is a proven leader on protecting innocent human life by voting many times to pass laws that would protect women and strengthen Texas families. Of special significance is Rep. Isett's support and vote in favor of the Texas Parental Notification Act in the 76th Legislative Session.

In this 78th Session, Rep. Isett has continued to be a leader by co-authoring 5 major pieces of pro-life legislation and attempting to direct government funds (our tax dollars) away from the abortion industry in Texas. Rep. Isett's record on defending the Right to Life of the most vulnerable speaks for itself. When our Congress is defending innocent human life in Washington, we must send a proven leader to represent those who have no voice.

President Bush needs Representative Carl Isett in Congress. Vote Carl Isett for U.S. Congress.

Please volunteer for Rep. Isett's campaign by contacting Carl Isett for Congress at 806 687 5360 or www.carlisett.com.

If no candidate gets a majority in the special election May 3, there will be a runoff between the top two votegetters, regardless of party (and presumably between two Republicans), in June.

Correction: The headline should read Carl Isett, nor Islett.

Who's he running against? Who's the Democrat incumbent (I assume)?

This is the open seat vacated by the retiring Rep. Larry Combest, R-TX. It covers the area between Lubbock and Midland. The district has been in Republican hands since 1985.
