Even stand waite uses lower case.Though you might have found an example otherwise, in my limited checking stand watie capitalizes "Confederate" but not "yankee". 104

exactly.just as i lowercase the name of lincoln,the TYRANT & WAR CRIMINAL, and capitalize the name of President Jefferson Davis.
