Well heard Canada might be a better choice since no death penalty, and hard to extridite back if those are the charges... Mexico, since SP is not a Mexican citizen may shoot him back into the arms of the LEOs

Point taken. In any event, I think it is a safe bet that he is either getting ready to leave the country or he already has. He will, of course, tell his friends, family, etc. that it is because he knows he couldn't get a fair trial due to the publicity in this case, and maybe that is true, if he really is innocent. However, that is a VERY BIG "IF".
