Bush allows PLO's American offices to remain open [GIVE ME A BREAK]
Jerusalem Post ^ | Apr. 17, 2003 | JANINE ZACHARIA

US President George W. Bush invoked a national security waiver on Wednesday to prevent sanctions from being levied on the PLO for a period of six months.

Under the Foreign Relations Act of 2003, PLO non-compliance with signed peace accords and continued use of terror and violence would force the president to impose at least one of a menu of sanctions unless he invokes a waiver contained in the law.

President Bush's decision to waive sanctions on the PLO comes as his administration plans to try to jumpstart the dormant Middle East peace process.

Yes, He has to have REAL power, in order for us to have anything to do with him.
So far, it doesn't look good.

. What happens in Israel is Israels problem, not ours.

Haven't you learned anything? Most of who targets Israel, hates America as well.

So, I would much rather have them attacking Israel than attacking here.

Dave, none of the things you accuse me of is true, and it is getting tiring. I am a many generation American, and can trace my ancestry to before there was an America. Where I go and what I do is my business, and does not invalidate my loyalty or my citizenship in America despite what you think.

You are acting like your nationality is some sort of football game and where you sit in the stands marks your loyality and if you should live or die. I think you have a very poor grasp on what it takes to be an "American". Was Pollard an "American"? Frankly I do not know. It depends a lot more on his motivations than his citizenship papers that he DID have. Is Louis Ferican an "American"? To me, by no means is he an American, as he esposes the violent overthrow of America, based on religion and race. He is as non-American as you can get. But, he lives in America, was born there I think and most likely will never leave, as he certainly would not want to live in the Islamic Hell-hole that he wishes to convert America to. If he was not such a hypocrite, he would move to one of the many Islamic Police States that exist today that are the same "Utopia" that he preaches.

To me a person who just got his citizenship last week, is loyal to the country and having lived under other governments most likely more "American" and understands what being a "American" is better than most public school rapper wanna-be's.

I have served my country for many years, and mostly overseas. I have put my life on the line for America more than once. So you just sit on your comfy rear end in the American Freedom I helped build and decide if I am an American or not by the length of my stay overseas, or the length of my hair or what ever else pleases you. Frankly, I do not care, as by your statements on this thread, you are the worst sort of American there is in my book, a pompus, prideful racest with a big mouth. You are the famous "Ugly American" that makes the rest of us look so bad in the rest of the worlds eyes.

Part of being an "American" IS giving a damn what happens in the rest of the world. Just ask the men from Iwo Jima or Normandy, Vietnam or Korea... Perhaps they might be able to give you a clue.

Do I wish death on Israelis? No...I would much rather have them attacking Israel than attacking here.

Can you see the hypocracy in the above two statments, just 4 inches apart on my screen?

Dave, you have a very loose grasp of reality that I find quite disturbing. Mix in your abusive judgemental ways and I find talking to you very unpleasant. Why don't you go camping, take along a sixpack and a good book and cool off and think for a bit. A vacation would do you good.

No I dont see any hypocracy there. I would wish that terrorists did not exist and that they did not use their homocide bombs on anyone. However, if they are to be used, I would rather they be used against someone OTHER than the US. If you cant understand that, that is why I dont like dual citizenship. I think your loyalty should be to be one country. Apparently its convenient for you to think otherwise, so good bye. Im through trying to move an immovable wall
