Perhaps this petunia has a point. The same "read my lips" gang along with the old Bush gave America the largest tax increase in history to date and advocated a "reinvigorated UN".
They may have done a politically opportunistic 180 degree turn, but that, in itself, is scarey. We are all going to appear very foolish if, in reality, they have not really altered their course.

Didn't Bill Clinton promise faithfully to cut the taxes for the 'middle class', and then turn around after elected, and say(not exact quote): "Oh gosh we're sorry, but we can't give you that tax cut. We'll have to raise taxes now, sorry!"?
It would seem that although Bush Sr. goofed up, the next one did worse? Why aren't you after him? Do you have so much dislike for Bush Sr. that it keeps you from objectivity, hmmm?
