I may cheer for the same Philadelphia football team and eat the same cheese steaks, but when it comes to how we tax Pennsylvania residents, Gov. Ed Rendell and I differ.
Many of you may be aware of the recent articles in the papers concerning Gov. Rendell's "Plan for a New Pennsylvania" that paint the picture of increasing the state income tax and decreasing the property tax dollar-for-dollar. However, that is not necessarily the case for most of Delaware County, and I just want people to understand what the tax proposal is and how it will affect them and their school districts.
