What a sad epitaph:

"I died on the job, and more people were interested in watching a Japanese cartoon."

"I am not talking about the American people and the British people. I am talking about those mercenaries. They have started throwing those pencils, but they are not pencils, they are booby traps to kill the children."

That was a classic. It's difficult to render Fred speechless about anything, but Barone managed quite nicely. I was cheering him on.

I wish at least twice a week the panel would be expanded to a half hour, with Brit whipping them into shape. And I really wish Brit worked Friday night!

Boy, do I agree with wanting Brit on Fridays. After a long week, I love coming home, fixing dinner and watching Special Report. Friday's a let down though because of Brit's absence. I'd like to see Charles Krauthammer on more and Mara on less. I love Michael Barone's comments with regard to election stats. He's the man when it comes to numbers.

I know that Rupert Murdoch's recent purchase of the Dish Network will shake things up even more. Can anyone tell me what it will mean in terms of access and numbers?

Absolutely agree about Krauthammer, too. I always laugh that Brit separates Mara and Fred - putting Mort in the middle, literally and figuratively. I think it might be interesting to see Fred next to Mara for maybe a week.

Did you see the Futurama episode a couple of weeks ago spoofing Star Trek? Hilarious!

Reminds me of that great scene from Spinal Tap where they show up at the amusment park and look at the marquee that says ..." Today at Magic Mountain...

Puppet Show
