I don't know the family and won't fake sympathy for a person I don't know. It would be innapropriate for me to wring my hands over the death of a person I've never heard of.Then why are you on this thread?

"There is nothing worse than finding your parent dead. It's something that stays with you all your life."Heartbreaking, special prayers for the child. Prayers for the Hollings family.

I'll leave the hash browns at breakfast to you and others so inclined. Just give me Grits and eggs, scrambled with bacon or country ham. Oh that is heaven.
Oh my, I have an image of her in my mind right now. Your poor friend... that po' calf.

Good lord, can't you people EVER let go of your agenda? EVER? Even on a death thread?

Uncalled for sir. Please, no matter your feelings for Senator Hollins, have a little respect for the gentleman and his family!

Jhoffa_, when you get right down to it, we are all truly alone in our grief. No one can share the depth of what we each feel. Only one person can and that understanding can only be found in the Holy Trinity - FATHER, SON and HOLY GHOST. Three in one and one in three.

Why Mr. GRRRR, how are you doing! Prince Charming! Hows Sean? I miss seeing you at Paltalk. We open the Freepers Hangout more frequently now, at least when I'm home and not at the Aunts. How is the family? I sho' miss you. Heard you had a great trip to Australia. Did you take a million/billion/zillion pictures?
Big ern and I have called it quits. He has explained and defended himself and though neither of us apologized, we shook hands (so to speak) and stopped the fighting and sniping.

You, sir, are no gentleman. Of course he's not. He's 'big ern', devoted Freeper and all-around good guy. He's been on the board forever, and he's got a great sense of humor.
Whatever he said, I'll stick by him, because I'm pretty familiar with his style.
I myself have said some pretty mean things about Hollings over the years, and I'm not going to take them back. But I will leave my blade in the scabbard on this one thread. That don't make me any better than big ern, Miss dixie sass.
The Free Republic is the Board of Big Shoulders, and the talk in the saloon gets a little rough sometimes. **shrug**

If you mean that grief is a personal experience, yes.
But some are far more "alone" than others..

Hello there, this is the first time that Big Ern and I have met up after all these years, funny isn't it. Oh well, we all have different interests.
We all at one time or another have ridiculed Senator Hollins, "leaving the sword in the scabbord" is the correct thing to do.
Big Ern and I have stopped fighting and sniping. I hope to see him again on other threads.

I was also, but I understand that everyone has there on viewpoint and maybe this is a way for some of the anxiety about the war and what is happening to be relieved.

Sorry, I've been cooking and cleaning so I've been gone from FR for an hour or so.
No more fighting. But I don't know about friends. you haven't even had me over for pie yet.

"Good lord, can't you people EVER let go of your agenda? EVER? Even on a death thread?"That's a rhetorical question....obviously. Besides....Mary Mary quite contrary set herself up for that one.

"You mean because marysecretary said something that YOU don't agree with? "No...because of the irony of mary telling a poster that they sounded like a democrat, given the DU like utterences she made regarding the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America. Which interestingly enough, are remarkably similar to many of your anti-gun statements. This is after all a CONSERVATIVE forum.

It's a conservative forum where ALL opinions are welcomed.
I haven't made ANY anti-gun statements. I have found that that is what you people say when somebody disagrees with you. Makes you look real intelligent.
I'll wait right here while you tell me I hate the Constitution, too.

Free Republic is an online gathering place for independent, grass-roots conservatism on the web. We're working to roll back decades of governmental largesse, to root out political fraud and corruption, and to champion causes which further conservatism in America. And we always have fun doing it. Hoo-yah!
