Hillary's Quandary: Which Bush to Challenge

Whether she runs for the White House in 2004 or 2008, it looks as if there's a Bush in Hillary Clinton's future.
"If Jeb is in the mix [for the 2008 nomination] it's his," a top GOP official tells U.S. News & World Report this week. Equally certain, say insiders, is the fact that former first lady will make her move in 2008, which could set up another Bush vs. Clinton election.
With the Iraq war's result adding to GOP confidence that President Bush will be re-elected, speculation is now turning to his successor, the magazine says. And Jeb's name is coming up with increasing frequency.
But what if Jeb's brother fails to turn the economy around and the U.S. occupation of Iraq turns sour? "Then Hillary Clinton will run against George instead of Jeb," one Washington watcher tells NewsMax.
Either way, Americans can look forward to another Bush-Clinton contest before the decade is out.
Read Jeb Bush reaction to all the speculation that he might seek the White House, as reported by NewsMax intern John Rossiello in January.

"If Jeb is in the mix [for the 2008 nomination] it's his," a top GOP official tells U.S. News & World Report this week. This is nonsense. Personally, I would probably vote for Jeb because he is a Roman Catholic, but there are a lot of desirable challengers for the 2008 Republican nomination.

They won't run against each other, at least not officially. Either one or the other will run. They are both "in the family" so to speak.

Jeb 2008? Bad idea. Very, very bad idea. The Presidency should not become a family business, and we need to work on grooming non-Bush family members to be candidates.
Not only to mention that, there is also the fact that a large segment of the populace would be more than a little creeped out by it.
It needs to be nipped in the bud, frankly, before it gathers steam.

Jeb Bush for President in 2008?by NewsMax Intern John Rossiello
Jan. 10, 2003
"Will you run for President in 2008?" That's one of the biggest questions Florida Governor Jeb Bush faces even before he begins his second term, the Miami Herald noted this week. While attempting to discuss his policy goals for the next four years, every reporter keeps asking, "Will you run for president?"
Its like talking about whatever that group is from outer space," responded Bush. He did not use the name of the group until someone shouted out Raelians.
Right, Raelians, first brother said, beofre offering,Its weird, I never think about it.
The crowd at Miami Dade Countys Park roared with cheers, apparently in response to Jebs answer. But actually, the crowd erupted when someone held up a campaign sign behind Bush that stated, Jeb Bush for President in 2008.
The Bush brother could either challenge U.S. Senator Bill Nelson in 2006 or run for president in 2008, when Hillary Clinton is also expected to seek the White House.
John Rossiello attends St. Joseph's by-the-Sea High School in Staten Island, NY.

They sell stickers for both political parties. The question is; Will the FIVE people that will put a HILLARY 2004 bumper sticker on their car be worth the time for them?
To: lawgirl
Rice would need to win an election somewhere before running for President. I don't think you can call it an entry-level job.
