I have to admit it sounded kind of "Frisky" to me also.

I would have no problem believing she has an agenda nor do I believe she is changed forever. She won't be out buying "Old Glory" to wave in future parades for our war Vets.

I pretty much agree with all you say but ...I think she has a new appreciation for the USMC. I would like to continue to think that is so.

I had no idea a compliment could get so complicated.

We do see it a bit differently.

The reporter boasts about the harships of being Marine...yet: she rfused to go to battle, complains that she had only one hour a day to shower, hadn't had coffee in two days, lived in a tent, was on a ship and rear echelon command post, etc., etc.

See...my experience is a lot different...the 0311 doesn't have that sort of environment and her report portrays her as a real tough, had it hard embedded with the grunt and know the deal USMC environment...and it just ain't so, Bro...you know that.
