Obviously they don't know about the FR Yahoo group - NoLongerFreepingAlone. It was started, as I understand it, because Jim Rob didn't want to run a dating service here on FR - but the Yahoo group certainly provides a forum for like-minded (at least politically) gals and guys to talk.

I can also add - attend your local Free Republic chapter FReeps and meetings. There are plenty of singles. Since you know that you have politics in common, you can work from there to ferret out other areas of compatibility - religion, morals, ethics, goals in life, etc.

And while attending the "Support our Troops" Freep on the Mall this past weekend, I met a guy who asked for my number. You just never know.

For those who really care about finding another Christian, I understand that there are specific Internet matching sites - they cost a pretty penny, but I've read that they are successful in finding the type of compatibility they are looking for. eharmony is one, I think; can't think of the name of the other right now.

Another thought - professional organizations.
