That's when you have to pull out the big guns, like the author says. Don't argue with them; insult their manhood and the size of their members. Use the Reagan quote about love and war. I do, all the time. When my competition is a conservative, a Reagan Democrat, or just politically ignorant, I'll play fair. But not with leftists! They deserve to be humiliated. They do the same to us, except behind our backs. Even if your instinct tells you you aren't going to get the girl, at least take a parting shot to destroy any chance he might have. And if he objects, ask him what he intends to do about it.

I'm a bit soured on women these days. I'd date women in their thirties, but most of those who are single have mental problems.

If this is your attitude, I'm sure the women you date pick up on it, and it sours them on you, also. Perhaps you are looking for perfection when you yourself lack such a quality? Give yourself, and women, a break. As far as "mental problems" so what? who cares? I mean, as long as you aren't talking about sociopaths, then perhaps a nice obsessive compulsive or a hand-wringing worrier would have other compensating qualities, and be very grateful for your attention, to boot. I'm sure the leftist inspired psychological community would be glad to commit us all if they could. They certainly act like it. At any rate, if you start looking at women as human beings, and forgive them for their faults, then perhaps you will find someone that forgives you for yours.

Good luck. You sound like you would be a good catch for some young woman (and 20's and 30's is young!) if you can just relax. Women--we are people, you know.

Hey Y'all, jump in here with your thoughts.

Obviously they don't know about the FR Yahoo group - NoLongerFreepingAlone. It was started, as I understand it, because Jim Rob didn't want to run a dating service here on FR - but the Yahoo group certainly provides a forum for like-minded (at least politically) gals and guys to talk.

I can also add - attend your local Free Republic chapter FReeps and meetings. There are plenty of singles. Since you know that you have politics in common, you can work from there to ferret out other areas of compatibility - religion, morals, ethics, goals in life, etc.

And while attending the "Support our Troops" Freep on the Mall this past weekend, I met a guy who asked for my number. You just never know.

For those who really care about finding another Christian, I understand that there are specific Internet matching sites - they cost a pretty penny, but I've read that they are successful in finding the type of compatibility they are looking for. eharmony is one, I think; can't think of the name of the other right now.

Another thought - professional organizations.
