I frequently wear dresses and skirts. It's not so rare. I almost always do on a date.

I always thought San Fran would be a GREAT place to meet single women. I always heard that women in San Francisco always complain about how all the men they meet are "Friends of Dorothy" if you know what I mean.

I have absolutely no idea what you mean. What does: "Friends of Dorothy" mean?

Never mind, I just did a google search on friends of Dorothy, I know what it means now. I just never heard that term before.

Guys that want to war ruby slippers. And gingham dresses. And ribbons in their hair. And carry baskets with little dogs with expanded a*holes in them.

"I base this on the fact that I asked my three sisters and my fiancee, one at a time all at separate times, why they were voting for Dems and the first thing out of their mouths was the pro-abortion stand of Dems. "

That is exactly why I vote for Republicans and I am a woman too. there are plenty more like me, too.

I hope to God I find a good Conservative man to settle down with. It makes complete sense. A liberal man is just not normal and they don't have any real morals. And even if they claim they do, their morals have no real roots. A Conservative man is the only way to go if a woman wants a real honest and loving long term relationship.

I wish you were right. But I'm afraid that too many American women base their vote solely on the abortion question. It would be very interesting to see what would happen if Dems and Republicans reversed their stances on abortion. My guess is that most women currently voting Dem would switch to Republicans. But I can't slam Dem women without mentioning that there are many males I know who are one-issue voters.

My guess is that most women currently voting Dem would switch to Republicans.

If you limit that to young, single women you might be right. I think you could be certain, however, that it wouldn't apply to the entire gender.

Most white women vote Republican and, anyway, according to the demographics "pro life" is the winning position for single-issue voters.

An overwhelming majority of black women -- many of whom are pro life -- vote Democrat even to a greater degree than black men.

AIDA ? That could be the manufacturer, or it could be the " style " / model. I'm not familiar with the name. Just changing the G string and/or the peg ( whose gear might be stripped )may help.

Cheap banjos sound >B> cheap ; like rubber bands being plucked/strummed. Unfortunately, so do most newish ones. The other problem ( sound )could also be with the head and/or the the construction of the entire banjo proper.

I'm afraid that the banjos, which sound good to incredible, all cost a great deal of money and are mostly in collectors' hands ; even the lower end ones. In the '80s , a weathy Janpanese went after every banjo, he was, unforunately, able to buy up many, have them shipped off to Japan, and so they are no longer here, nor in Germany ( there was/still are some ) a vast horde of them there, and in England, with a few in Italy.

You might want to go to a FIGA ( THE FETTED INSTUMENT GUILD OF AMERICA )convention and / or joing that organization. It's not just for banjo players. :-)

I noticed that something had changed radically in the dating scene sometime around 1996-1997.
I don't like it, whatever it is, and have gradually retired altogether from it.
This article almost manages to make me feel happy to have done so.

Being lonely BITES but, being with the wrong person is much worse.

I keep reminding myself of that horribly true fact.

I'm in the midwest where women wear skirts and slacks. Personally, skirts are cooler in the summer and much more comfortable.

There's an easy way to avoid that:

Play near the bagpipers.

I do have a brother that plays pipes! However...he's a lot better at bagpipes than I am at fiddle.

Good or not, though, I ain't gonna play next to him! Do you know how LOUD them suckers are???

Depends on what the meaning of "it" is buddy.
There was plenty of of experimentation at various christian camps I went to in high school and as a young adult. Just like that certain Bill, if a young woman didn't lose her virginity it wasn't sex. That left quite enough permutations to keep young people busy.

The only big laugh from the movie American Pie was that Band Camp girl admitting to wild sex. It reminded me so much of Bible Camp.

Point well taken. Well, it doesn't matter anymore for me -- way too old and way too married.
