THE PACK OF CARDS the US issued to its troops last week are being auctioned on Ebay with bids reaching the stupidly high level of £230 so far.
Why is it stupid, you ask, seeing as these are once in a lifetime items that everyone must surely want to own, and a snip at the current asking price of £230?
The reason is that you can buy a pack of Iraqi "most wanted" cards on greatusaflags.com for a mere $5.95.
Truly, as the man said, "there's one born every minute".
TOPICS: News/Current Events
KEYWORDS: iraq; mostwantedcards
I checked and it is true. You can order a deck for $5.95 plus S&H. Four decks for $19.95.
$5.95 deck
$360 deck 230.00 GBP (Pounds)= 360.963 USD

I have a feeling that neither of these sites have the "official" decks of cards.
The $5.95 pack is, according to the site, "printed by the same company supplying these cards to the US Embassy in Kuwait." The problem with this is, the official cards are not going to the US Embassy in Kuwait, they are going to the troops in the field in Iraq, plus these cards might be a different size/quality than the ones the military is getting.
The Ebay decks might be real, might not. I smell a scam myself.
The best thing is, I have an official deck coming to me, from a cousin that is assigned to Centcom.

That's utterly pathetic.
NewsMax was hawking these cards for (I think) 14.95 a deck- and at that price I was not interested- these are playing cards, easily printed. You can buy any deck of cards for about a dollar. At 5.95, maybe. It's historical, so maybe it's worth a few more bucks.
I honestly feel bad for the saps who actually have to honor these stupid bids with a check. Jeez!

The only problem with the deck is---NO Baghdad Bob! He's the ideal joker in the deck.

I saw a company with 5 "Baghdad Bob" jokers included with the other 55 cards.
http://www.venuetba.com Only problem is that you have to buy in bulk.
