The Shawshank Redemption has always been one of my favorite movies. Now, I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to watch it again. I'd probably find myself cheering when Tim's character gets repeatedly raped by the bull queers.

I think you need to watch the movie again. What do you think those bull queers (as Red referred to them) were doing to him? Tim's character (Andy) even asked Red if it would do any good for him to inform them he wasn't a homosexual, to which Red responded they weren't either; you have to be human first.

Not that it's really important, but you're either watching the wrong movie, or you missed a huge portion of it.
