Rather Not Happy With Rumsfeld

Saddam Hussein's favorite TV talking head, CBS multimillionaire Dan Rather, is in a snit over Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld's comment that reporters are giving an exaggerated picture of looting and lawlessness in Iraq.

"I try to be an honest reporter, be an honest broker of information. And it's my judgment that if Secretary Rumsfeld had been here, he might have worded that at least in a somewhat different way," Rather complained to fellow traveler Larry King last night on CNN.

And we all know how honest and impartial Dan Rather is ...

>>>>>Rummy is one of the best we've got. As much as I love Dan Rather, he has no right to publicly announce that the government is wrong. That's exactly what we don't need! In a time of war we need for people to band together and support our country, and our troops right or wrong! He should be thanking god that he has the right as a US citizen to a freedom of speach and instead he's cursing the government and one it's best figures.<<<<<<<

You have got to be kidding. Go back to DU, your presence is detected. BTW, I noticed you just signed up today.

Who does he think he is? E.F. Hutton?

Can't be. When E.F. Hutton speaks, everybody listens.

When Blabber speaks, about 15% of his former audience disappears.

The only useful purpose that Dan Rather serves is to provide swabs from his nose for DNA analysis of the likes of Saddam Hussein.

I try to be an honest reporter, be an honest broker of information.

LOL!! Dan's definition of honest:

"I think you can be an honest person and lie about any number of things."

>>>How much blather would a Rather blather if a Rather could blab blather?<<<

A Rather could blab two blither blathers if a Rather could blather blabs.

It a common fact the media likes to blow certain stories out of perspective, especially when interest is waining. I wonder if Dan is willing to admit what items he has trumped up in the past. Rather is a charlatan of the first order.( and he knows it)

Go Rummy, go!

Rather's just upset that his good buddy Saddam is probably now taking a dirt nap.
