The Ptavvs of Larry Niven's book Footfall would have an excellent use for this one.
(The bombarded the planet with all sort of space objects before making landfall)

2003AS30 - That would mean you were the 30th person born in 2003. What, you were born yesterday? :-)

Don't worry. I bought
an outsider ray device
that will protect us.
On the other hand,
I'm usually so busy
doing rishathra
that I may forget
to leave the protective rays
switched on properly...

Of course, this is part of the vast right-wing conspiracy.
It will somehow make Dims look bad for mouthing their views causing them to say vile things (lies and nasty epithets) so as to appear morally superior to those they villify everyday. But I digress. Probably an instrumentation glitch combined with the desire to see something that isn't there - brought on by high caffeine levels and not enough sleep. Hmm, kinda describes liberal thinking, doesn't it.

That crater is a tap on the shoulder compared to what has/will happen...

Just adding this to the GGG catalog, not sending a general distribution. Please FREEPMAIL me if you want on, off, or alter the "Gods, Graves, Glyphs" PING list --
Archaeology/Anthropology/Ancient Cultures/Artifacts/Antiquities, etc.
The GGG Digest -- Gods, Graves, Glyphs (alpha order)

If there are 505 such asteroids, this is certainly an odd asteroid.
On the other hand, when they discover the next one, does the whole group become even asteroids, or do only half of them become even asteroids, and the other half stay odd asteroids?
If half of this group are already even asteroids, does that mean there are really 1010 earth-threatening asteroids total?

If you have 505-odd asteroids on a table, and 504 of them fall off, what do you have left? An odd or an even?

But that couldn't happen.
(Only the round ones would roll off the table. The odd ones and the even ones would still be on the table.)
