Iraqi refugees: Al-Sahaf committed suicide 15-04-2003, 11:46
Iraqi refugees who have taken shelter at Iraq's borders near the Iranian town of Dehloran over the week have claimed that Information Minister Saeed al-Sahaf had committed suicide, the Iranian newspaper, Mardomsalari reported Tuesday. A similar report was published in Iran's Arabic newspaper, Al Wifaq.
According to these reports, al-Sahaf hanged himself a few hours before Baghdad fell to US forces on April 9th. The refugees gave no source to confirm their claim.
In his press briefing on Monday, White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer, said the US government believed former Iraqi leaders, including deputy Prime Minister Tareq Aziz and al-Sahaf, may be hiding in Syria. (Albawaba.com)

Someone on Fox said we should give him a break. He was never really being given the truth about where Iraqi troops were all along and therefore, he really believed a lot of what he was saying. Maybe he got the truth all at once and either grabbed money and left or hung himself.

Not to worry.... I'm sure Baghdad Bob will turn up soon to state that reports of his death have been greatly exaggerated. How could anybody living in his state-of-denial commit suicide?

Information Minister Saeed al-Sahaf was seen on Iraqi television today reporting on his own death, while cavorting with a 72 year old virgin.

We're joking about this, but Baghdad Bob may really be conflicted about his role and should be.
His false reports caused many Iraqi's to fight when they should have been surrendering. I won't believe that he hanged himself until there is proof, but surely he must feel some guilt.

The infidels only wish for his death because they are losing the war. They will never take Baghdad! They aren't even in Iraq!

Why commit suicide when you can be with Nancy Peloshie and other Rats?

ROTFLMAO! My coworkers are starting to stare. They are in shock and awe that Baghdad Bob may be no more.
Personally I think he's on a beach somewhere sipping a drink with one of those little umbrellas.

Should we hold a memorial service for Bob or something? He wasn't just the minister of disinformation, he was also a great dancer, and pinochle player.
Damn, this one hurts.

You know..I was just sitting here thinking what an asset he would have been to the Clintons for those eight years. Can you imagine how he could have defended the Lewinsky news?

Near the body U.S. Marines located a suicide note assuring Baghdad's citizens that no coalition forces were in the city, and that the infidels were burning inside their vehicles."The note was issued posthumously by Bagdad Bob."
