The Pope has been misquoted like no other. The left has intercepted his "Hail Mary Pass" quotes regarding peace and ran the other way with them. Thus I can understand the appearance of confusion. The Pope has correctly said that no peace can exist without peace in the souls of men--the peace that comes from Christ. As we all know, the author of confusion is the devil himself (with the media as his willing helper), and frankly, I like being part of The Body which is being attacked by the devil (from inside and out), since it assures me that I'm in the right place!

A cursory review of FR threads on the topic will demonstrate that the Right has done the same thing.

This proves beyond a doubt that the Pope was correct--both Left and Right hate him.
