The Alvin that I rememberwas still in the country. Some of my mother's folks lived there. I know Houston has grown to surround everything. But isn't Alvin also the home of Nolan? He is kinda a cowboy, even if he did support the wrong person for gov.

There are some very strong young conservatives at Cal Berkley and UC Davis. They are gaining in numbers and strength.WOW. That is great news, as those schools are not known as bastions of conservatism. Then again, neither is U of Michigan....but they are growing there too.

Thanks to these young conservatives and our President, I feel better about America than I have for decades re overthrowing the left wing mentality.

And your evidence that Bush sees himself as a god and/or that he has ordered opposition into mental wards? In fact, what behavior patterns in George W. Bush can you point to that suggest he is the new Stalin? Is it godless atheism that they share in common? Or is it the way W. endlessly lies to the American people? Perhaps you are referring to the way W. has taken over the means of information and the press in the U.S.?

i know your exasperation. I have a good friend who says he won't vote for Bush because of the assault weapons ban. I at least have gotten to to send some emails off. But it's far too easy to complain that this guy isn't conservative enough than it is to actually try to influence other voters, leaders, etc. I think we need to hold Bush's feet to the fire privately and extoll him publically. That will get us what we want!

Excellent observations.
they were then forced to acknowledge the stunningly deft transition
All the more remarkable when you consider that upon arrival, the Bush people had to contend with missing "W"'s from their keyboards and other vandalism left by the adolescents of the previous administration!

Bush rolled the dice and it came up all good.
Agree with him or not, you have to give Bush credit for taking the lead and maintaining that lead over what was a very long time.
The diplomacy involved to keep other armed forces out of the conflict, and keep Iraq from drawing in others, was nothing short of spectacular.
The way the 3rd ID, US Army made the longest and fastest advance of an armored division in military history and after a sand storm, had the strength to bring the tip of the spear right into the airport, then into baghdad witout a break is nothing short of amazing.
The number of Iraqi troops who were defeated even before they ever saw action by a year of amazing psy-ops, overwhelming preasure from the air, and relentless speed my the 1st marines and 3rd ID. Early reports talk about 4,5 or 6 iraqi soldgers a day changing thier clothes and going home to their families.

>>>Watch for the left, and 'true conservatives' (whoever they are) to go after GWB as much as possible.So-called "'true conservatives'" = fringe extremists, AKA: libertarians, Libertarians, Constitutionalists, paleoconservatives, Reformers and all the other disgruntled types, the malcontents, the misfits and the militants.
President Bush will have the loyal Republicans, the "real" conservatives and the right thinking independents on his side, and he will ride that political coalition to another victory, in November 2004.

And your evidence that Bush sees himself as a god and/or that he has ordered opposition into mental wards? In fact, what behavior patterns in George W. Bush can you point to that suggest he is the new Stalin? Firstly, I didn't suggest that W is the new Stalin. I believe my remarks indicated that articles such as this one are in many ways similar with the 'cult of personality' propaganda that produced the Stalinist phenomenon. And, if you are having a problem with any comparisons between Bush and Stalin, please recall that it was Bush himself (themselves) who don't hesitate to compare Saddam to Hitler. Do you believe that Saddam is the new Hitler? Could you begin by perhaps showing us his concentration camps?
To: ClancyJ
He's doing more damage to us, as a country and as a nation, that Clinton could have ever dreamed it was possible or that Gore would have been allowed by the legislative branch.
Other than that, he's a mediocre president.
IMHO, of course.
To: A Vast RightWing Conspirator
Just what kind of damage?
