Sad as it might be... this is not the time for W to stake out positions on peripheral issues. What, pray tell, would be the central issue if the 2nd Amendment is a peripheral issue?
Some of us extremists out here in America are still of the opinion that the US government abiding by its Constitutional charter are the central issue.
