Think back to when we were kids and gun control meant "good aim".
LOl...seems like another world now doesn't it?
We strip everyone's right because certain segments of society simply can't behave themselves...from urban gangbangers/predators to teenaged suburban outcasts at school.
Hell, when I was in high school we kept rifles in our cars in hunting season on campus and the same in college in our dorm rooms during season....and we got loaded to the gills on a variety of intoxicants and never shot anyone. Nobody gave it a second glance at Ole Miss in 1976 to see a guy walking into his dorm room with a guncase in cammos in the fall or winter.
We are really on a knife edge here, historically. I a few years we could:
/1/ See an outbreak of Islamikazi terrorism which would lead to open carry of semi auto rifles by volunteer "home guards" on street corners, in front of schools etc. All current "assault rifle" laws swept aside.
/2/ We could totter along the way we have, for one more generation until we old farts die off, and the brainwashed gun-phobic generation takes over and eventually bans them all. Or,
/3/ We have that horrific "assault rifle massacre" during a "Hillary-esque" presidency with a 'rat congress, leading to an out right ban in just a few years.
Flip a coin, I have no clue.
