It is even funny in a pathetic kind of way. We've witnessed this kind of paranoia for so long, we just laugh at it now.

There is always one or two on a gun thread. ALWAYS

When there is legitimate activism to protect our second ammendment.. fine, we donate and participate.

But allowing the Dems to win the Presidential Election in 2004 would be the worst possible thing that could happen.

President Bush will prove he supports our second ammendment right. Ashcroft has already spoken to our rights to bear arms...and President Bush doesn't micro manage.

I doubt I will even engage Mr. Apestuff further. Or any others who are paranoid. Instead.. I will remind them later of how silly they looked. (I don't get mad.. I just prove my point when the moment is right). :o)

Have a great Easter....

I agree. I'm picking my spots, too. The more they talk about this issue the sillier and fatalistic they sound. They sound as extreme and stupid as the Communists.

You have a great Easter, also. I'm having a happy 40th birthday with my wife and 5-month old son today.

It's the folks that wait for tyranny to reach their own doorstep that I personally feel sympathy for. By then, it could be too late. You live in a different, much less viable and more tyrannical, unconstitutional society than your ancestors. And your grandchildren's children will be able to look back and see what a goof-troop you led before you passed on. Which amendment to the Constitution will you next allow to slide into oblivion?

Bush and Ashcroft have proven beyond all doubts that the Constitution is not relevant to them. So, go ahead and cheer them on. After all, politics is just a feel good activity for everyone that doesn't truly give a rip about Constitutionally-affirmed rights and freedoms. It's no wonder America has gotten to this point when faux conservatives applaud the nipping and gnashing of the framework of this nation.

Well said.
This single sentence is what is important right now. The AWB has been in place for years, there is no point in losing the WH now. IMHO all the bluster is from people that really don't care if the 2nd gets busted because if a Dem gets in it will be hard to protect.
