If President Hillary will trample on the Constitution, as I know she would, she won't get my vote if she's running; if Bush backs this ban and shows his willingness to trample on the Constitution, he also won't get my vote. Understand?
To: diamond6
Vote (or not) based on your personal principles, not because you're afraid of the other guy. Don't compromise your beliefs because you are afraid of some Democrat boogieman.
To: diamond6
Interesting list. Now where is the support for the Constitution that he swore to uphold and defend? I can't seem to find it in your list... And empire-building by any other name is still not in our Constitution, either.

I suspect diamond6 is one of those "The Constitution is a musty old document written by dead white men" types. Either that, or she hasn't actually READ it.

Likely so!

Besides, y'all got Ted Nugent!
Good to read posts by a real activist. Getting the job done involves more than whining in forums. It's time to prepare to get involved in those party functions, take a bunch of people, and kick ass!

I am disappointed. Lets see how it plays out. Definitely need to see how it plays out. I think the long term will tell. The bill will NEVER get out of committee.
To: diamond6
Well, in my case, it depends on if there is a primary and who is running in that primary.

BTW, what have you handwringers, whiners, defeatists, and bitches done lately in the way of political action? I've attended precinct, local, regional, and state Republican Party conventions all my teen-age and adult life and run for State House once. Except for my inability to get myself elected we pick our people, run them, and get them elected.
My conservative political involvement has cost me my livlihood, home, and, with loss of income, my personal savings, and I'm not quitting for one damned minute. I do more than talk the God, Guns, and Guts credo, I LIVE it.
If you're not going to do anything but cry then STFU!!

Just a simple question, who would you rather have in the White House at the current time or even in the future You avoided answering my question with one of your own. Is that your definition of fair debate?
This is neither a question or an answer but a simple statement of fact: It does not matter which party separates us from our rights and our money.

The way for Republicans, at least, to get the vote out is to give conservatives a reason to vote.
Republicans must quit losing their nerve, even when defeat looks certain. By sticking to their principles instead of cowering in the face of opposition, at least they'll preserve issues for future elections. If they don't, they'll give conservatives no reason to stick with them.
If Republicans honor their commitment to freedom and the Constitution, grassroots conservatives will walk miles in the snow to support them on Election Day.

BTW, what have you handwringers, whiners, defeatists, and bitches done lately in the way of political action? I vote in every election.
I always vote against incumbents.
I vote for any alternative to the screw party system whenever possible.
I am curious. Do you go around telling strangers to "STFU" in the meat world or is that something you do only in the world of 1's and 0's?

"Here is a partial list of conservative issues/values that Bush stands for: 1. prolife; 2. prolife ultra-conservative judges; 3. probably the biggest tax cut we've ever had; 4. war on terrorism; 5. war on Afghanistan and attempt at democracy in their country; 6. war on Iraq, regime change of Saddam, removal of chemical weapons once they're found, and democracy; 7. tough hardline stance against North Korea, who are now changing their tune, now that they see we are willing to fight; 8. hardline stance against Syria, which will probably result in the release of Iraqi leadership they are harboring; 9. a strong Christian faith and moral foundation which shapes his decisions, because he has convictions. You see. I do have the guts to answer questions, unlike many of the blowhards in this thread, who are nothing but malcontents."

1. " prolife;"
BUSH SIGNS LARGEST FAMILY PLANNING BILL IN U.S. HISTORY
"On Thursday, January 10, 2002, the White House reported President Bush signed the ominous $15.4 billion foreign appropriations bill, H.R. 2506, for fiscal-year 2002. The bill authorizes $446.5 million U.S. tax dollars to be given to other countries for abortion-family planning activities throughout the world. The abortion-family planning funds approved by Bush represents an increase of $21.5 million over last year for international family planning."

LOL! Bush "allows" us to have a few bucks of "our money" back, then, sends us a tax bill in the mail for $30,000+ more than when he tripped into the White House, and youre excited? And your an attorney? Scary. Im only going to list just a few links to hundreds of documents outlining Bushs socialist bonanza accomplishments as the entire list would take me weeks. Im not taking the time. Youre not worth it.

You're right. President Bush is a man of character. Not if he signs the renewal to this so-called law he isn't. People who break oaths aren't men of character, and there simply is no oath in our system of government greater than that of the Presidency. Since part of that oath is a promise to uphold and defend the Constitution, his signing of the bill would be a violation of that oath.
