Comon'...with some of the carrier battle groups coming home, I don't think Syria was serious war consideration anyway. Maybe the Syrians don't know that, but it doesn't hurt to keep 'em guessing.

I think we want to keep them guessing. We can roll up a division to the Syrian border to send a message without having to invade.

The Kitty Hawk will be returning to Japan so it will still be withing striking range of both Korea and Syria within a short time frame.
