Lord knows that I love to see CNN continue to melt down, but anybody has a right to defend themselves, including Whoraldo.
We're finally seeing the beknighted status of the media stripped away and are starting to see them for what they really are; professional (i.e. for money) news gatherers.
The media are nothing more than prospectors of information and as such we should expect them to behave in their own self interest. But save me the 'saintiliness' of what they do.

But can you imagine the hue and cry that would have errupted from the leftist media had Brent Saddler and the CNN crew been killed? They would have raised the roof and laid the blame at the coalition forces' feet.

RSF secretary general Robert Menard said: "Such a practice sets a dangerous precedent that could jeopardise all other journalists covering this war, as well as others in the future. "There is a real risk that combatants will henceforth assume that all press vehicles are armed," he warned.
Yo, Bob, welcome to the 21 century. Did you happen to catch the World Trade Center attack on 9/11.
The combatants no longer care if you're armed or not, if you're press or not, you are a target. Having a policy of being urarmed will only make you a BIGGER target to these cowards...

CNN thought they would accept the surrender of Tikrit to bail them out!
