The power dressing mentality is interesting.
Almost like PC?
When I was a commercial real estate broker in NC a few years back, I had to do the "power dress thing" until I was established. Once I was established & had a reputation for my speciality & corporations etc put me in demand, I could chose clients etc. and then didn't feel the need to melt into the crowd and try so hard to "be correct"
I reurned to MY style - not necessarily casual or trendy.. just what I liked. Bold jewelry, distinctive designers, colors I liked etc.
I look at Tori that way. She is a smart, powerful woman.. and her dress style is very surely not the main stream politician. We wont see the wannabees dressing like that will we?
