OMG! Are any of you seeing this report on MSNBC about the 22 orphans kept safe by the nuns??? Jim Bruton of MSNBC visited the orphanage with Marines today. These appear to be mentally and physically handicapped children...one infant with no arms or legs.
If you didn't see it, be sure to have some Kleenex close by when it comes back on.
I wish we had some way to send Barney tapes, spiderman dolls and Barbies to that orphanage.

I figure we'll be donating to many orphanages in Iraq--and Afghanistan.

I saw it. We let them call the Mother Superior in Chicago on our cellphone and are looking for generators,we brought food.It was the kind of story I love. The children looked wellcared for and the premises immaculate. The children are lucky to have those nuns.

OMG! Are any of you seeing this report on MSNBC about the 22 orphans kept safe by the nuns???I missed it, too. MSNBC is telling these stories. Thank goodness. SOD Rumsfeld implored the press and the freed Iraqis to tell these stories. SO far, members of the press corps - whether CENTCOM, Pentagon or WH, have been more obsessed with spinning tiny and expected problems into daily "crises" and yet another attack on the Bush administration - than in the suffering of the Iraqi people under Saddam Hussein.
We should be celebrating as a country, as a world...this was a great victory...ticker tape parade worthy. How dare OUR press steal this from US?!
