I had to share this from another thread:

Saddam is not hiding in the desert, I can assure you. The war is going so well he is simply taking a short vacation. He played golf at the Great Satan's Augusta National Golf Course this very week end. Praise Allah, he won the tournament, it is written!!! He brings pride to the Iraqi people, when he shot all hole in ones, beating the sons of dogs at their own game. I tell you this, the other players committed suicide by the thousands.

I saw TWO women on the NTV BagCam! Wearing Western clothes even!
What were they chanting today? And has anyone been to Italy to witness their worker "strikes"? They will have a strike from noon to 1:00 one day... and then a week later, they might have a strike from 2:00-5:00pm. And another time, they might have a 1-day strike. And people know in advance when these strikes are happening. Once when I was flying home from Rome, we had to delay our trip to the airport because there was a 3-hour strike that day. Bizarre.
So I'm wondering if the Iraqis are doing the same sorts of things. NTV is showing a Marine blockade (holding hands to form a line) in front of the hotel, with a crowd pushing up against them. Hope things don't get ugly.
To: All
What were they just chanting on the NTV (new) BagCam? All I could catch was minister and Saddam.
To: Timeout
Was this answered yet?
CBS cam sometimes works (was up for CentCom this morning, for example)
NTV works.
NTV new works.
BagCam Low works.
Abu Dhabi works (not a BagCam, but has local coverage sometimes).

WE NEED A 12 STEP PROGRAM TO GIVE UP THE SITUATION ROOM,,,
I have a permanent Scarlet Letter A...
"My name is BagCamAddict, and I'm a Bag Cam Addict."

Re: Baghdad Bob and his outrageous lies. Rummy had a great point about him. All the press in the briefing room at CentCom came to think of Baghdad Bob as a joker, with his outrageous and blatant lies. Rummy said "What I find amazing is that this is news to everyone. He has been lying like this for YEARS and YEARS. But only now, when people can see him on a split screen, with our tanks on one side and him on the other saying we aren't within 100 miles, do people realize he is lying. But they fail to realize he has been lying for YEARS just like this."
To: All
Huge applause, then loud chants. Anyone know who the speaker is and/or what he is saying to the crowd?
To: Nam Vet
Dubya's foes, both foreign and domestic, will NEVER grasp his strategery and will suffer defeat after defeat. Well said! They are also loathe to even try to understand him -- much more intent on telling us, the general populace, how stupid we are for electing him, and giving us long lectures on how *we* need to "understand the Arab street" (oh, I understand 'em, the message is pretty clear...). They seem to have tried to settle on "he's stupid", which is what they did with Reagan, and it worked SO well with him I'm in agreement they should try that idea again. ;-) (maybe we can see what it's like when a president goes OVER 100% approval...)

Minor tangent re: Rumsfeld. I always thought the man was much taller than he actually is (he's a bit of a munchkin).
He certainly GIVES the impression of being taller!
I also think he has some of the best hand gestures out there, including the patented one-hand "Tune-in-Tokyo" when he's trying to fine-tune a point, and no pussyfooting around pointing when he feels like it (none of that annoying point with your thumb & forefinger like you're changing a channel so as not to telegraph a "confrontational" attitude, all that garbage).
Ever catch the bio A&E ran on him? Was pretty fun if you're a Rummy fan.
I think he also may be one of my favorites because he invariably makes the liberals froth at the mouth. :-P

No one's made much of a link between "illegal" drugs and the war. But one thing to notice is how the drug warriors -- Barry McCaffery etc were pessimistic. The drug warriors have been casting our military into some sort of anti-drug police force. The police tool of the ruling elites, IOW. Waco was a demonstration of good faith of how we -- the USA -- were changing our military and federal agencies into the very kind of internal police force much of the tolitarian world -- Saddam's Iraq, China, Russia -- are familiar with. Real war, a real free man's military is a competitor in that market.
There are drug connections -- one of the biggest is the perennial of the black market cash transfers, drugs being the biggest source of that kind of money. It also goes to Chinese spheres of influence. And that may be why Eagleburger *threatened* impeachment. It's unlikely he was just talking -- his words may have had some "funded" program of "lobbying" behind them.
And I am personally a bit hang-faced because no one picked up on my Mena, Arkansas-born, T Texas Tyler stuff.
Even in this kind of war -- on terror -- there are great forces working towards expanding geo-political and economic influence, and using war-goals, protests, war-related efforts etc. to further their own goals. A big goal is for those "globalists" interests is how to tame us. Or at least, trying to figure out how.

Interesting article, Lion---I even found some humor in it:
U.N. inspectors suspected a vast network tunnel but never proved it.
The UN is irrelevant and incompetent.
Our military needs to be careful when they go down those tunnels, as I'm sure many are booby-trapped. They should send in robotic equipment and birds before sending in humans.
