But wasn't there a report that B-Bob was at the hotel on the morning after the bombing collecting money from the journalists? And that he managed to get $200,000 out of them before he took off for Syria too?

Well, wherever he is, either dead or sunning himself on the shores of Syria, he was one of the "deadenders" (Rummy's great phrase) and had no future in the New Iraq!

Yup, this thread has become one of the memorable threads of FReeper History. Think about it. How many, many new FReeperisms have come to be on this very thread. Some going on to Nat'l/Int'l use !! The regulars on this thread are the ones that know the EXACT beginning of each and every one of them. Can we ever forget the "This Old Bunker Weekend Marathon" with Achmed Vila and Norm Habib?
