Any harassment of uniformed military personnel had better not happen in my presence. I endured this crap 35 years ago and always faulted the American middle-class for allowing it to happen.

It won't happen this time if I'm present.

I mentioned this on another thread a couple of weeks ago. We all should be Human Shield Volunteers for all uniformed military personnel. Our military ought to be able to wear their uniforms in the United States. But thanks to some cowardly jerkoffs, they sometimes can't, because military personnel are restricted in how they behave in public. But you and I are not. If I overhear or see anything of the sort happening in my presence, you can bet I will personally intervene.

I live in a part of Massachusetts where is has always been common to see reservists in uniform in shops and restaurants. I don't recall there ever being a problem. Of all places, you might expect some commie jackass in Massachusetts to be rude to servicemen. I'm shocked it would happen in Texas.

I'm also a little concerned that one incident is setting off alarms when it shouldn't. I hope the people at the base are not getting hypersensitive.

Sounds like Key West, when I was there in the late '60's. Anyway the Navy closed most of facilities in the '70's leaving them high and dry. I think they call it Gay West now days.

My sentiments exactly. Military personnel in uniform might get in trouble for responding to this kind of disrespect...but I'm willing to take the heat.

Amen my Cav brother. If it happens in my presence somebody is going to be hospitalized. It might even be me, but there will be bloody knuckles and teeth at the least.
