Reminds me of the mural at the baggage claim area at Denver International Airport.
Actually, the one at DIA is far worse.

But for real depravity, one must look to the NEA.Lol. That was my thought exactly. The standard for art these days is incredibly low. It's all about concepts. People just don't put real love into art these days.

Trailers? I guess you're right.

I've seen a lot of that sort of painting at Science Fiction Conventions. It sells.

If it ain't a Velvet Elvis then it ain't art. A bullfighter on black velvet qualifies, too.

What's wrong with the dogs playing cards? Is that bad taste in art? Looks good on the wall of my trailer, opposite my velvet Elvis.

And those poker-playing dogs.

It's funny. Both the man and the woman in the painting have long blonde hair. I didn't see too many blondes when the statue came down.

"I'm just waiting for someone to find a painting from one of the palaces with dogs playing cards."
The dogs lined up waiting for the tree was my favorite ;>)

Hey, I loved Frank Frazetta! These pictures are a poor imitation.
Ah, me. I still remember back in the summer of '67, stealing my Dad's dog-eared Lancer paperback of Conan the Conquerer by Robert E. Howard, thinking that maybe it was a racy story because of the Frazetta artwork. That book cover featured an exotic, scantily-clad babe reclining amidst spiders and snakes at the feet of one incredibly brawny dude whose knarled hands gripped an enormous axe. Great stuff!
Saddam probably thought that he was like Conan. Little did he know that a cowboy from Texas (where Conan author Howard was from) named George would be the one to exclaim that classic line from the Conan movie version which escapes me right now. (Something about defeating ones enemies and hearing the lamentation of their women...)

The Sistine Chapel ceiling it ain't. You'd think that the Butcher of Baghdad would have enough pocket change to commission someone with better technique, but maybe some poor Iraqi sign painter didn't have a choice. Since a subject couldn't urinate anywhere in Iraq without splashing a portrait of the guy, I'm almost surprised Saddam didn't have his own features superimposed on the figures.
If the coalition had just waited a little longer, Hussein could have redecorated with items from Andre Breton's collection.

A bullfighter on black velvet qualifies, too.If you have one of those then it is a fake. The one I have is the original. The guy who sold it to me swore that Picasso only painted one.

Well I wonder if the French have heard about this. I mean such really bad taste in art. Those Frenchy elites must be so proud of supporting such crap.
