Poisonous snakes never evolve into something warm, friendly and trust worthy.

I heard this story once:

A woman was collecting firewood in the hills, when the heel of her foot crushed the head of a rattlesnake. The woman felt sorry for the snake, so she took it home and spent months nursing it back to health. Then one day she was throwing some wood on the fire to make sure the snake was warm and it lashed out and bit her. As she lay there dying, she asked the snake "Why did you bite me?" "I saved your life and nursed you back to health!" The snake just hissed and said "Look you *!@#%. You knew I was a rattlesnake.

You knew I was a rattlesnake.

Please, let's not malign the rattlesnakes by comparing them to the likes of Communists or Jihadies. If you leave the rattler alone, including staying out of it's space, and giving it a little respect when it warns you to do so, it will leave you alone. The jihadies and the communists, maybe especially the communists, don't want to leave you alone. With them it's their way or the highway, and they most especially cannot abid the existance of a society that obviously works so much better than their own.

The same goes for scorpions.

Once a scorpion or a poisonous snake, the critters will all ways be a poisonous and dangerous critter.
