There is no need to be rude.

Oh, did I hurt you delicate sensibilities? So, answer my question. Can you read Geraldo's mind?

Well, I could, but I prefer P.G. Wodehouse.

I'm sorry if I offended you by expressing my opinion about Geraldo. If you have a different opinion, it's really nothing I want to argue about.

I saw Geraldo's show end with a chaplian praying and the ful prayer was broadcast last week. This is not a new thing he is doing. I beieve I've seen it done on his broadcast at least 3X and I've not sat and watched his broadcasts all that often.

I thought it was beautifully done by the Chaplain. And great that Geraldo and FOX were not so PC that they wouldn't televise it.

DITTO! I couldn't agree more. I aplaude FOXNEWS in particular. I don't know Geraldo's motives in doing it and I don't care. I'm not his judge, God is. If he is doing it for ratings, well he will have to answer to God later, and if he has had an experience with God, then God bless him!

The scripture mentions that even if the heathens preach the gospel, it's still the gospel, and if God can use a donkey to accomplish His purposes, he can use anyone!

Jerry is a Leftie, an uber-liberal. These people "think" with their feelings.

So any emotional episode will sway Jerry to fall in with it. And he's very sympathetic to the troops, at least in this war and in Afghanistan. The time he's spent with them seems to have improved him a little.

Good thoughts! I agree!

Can you imagine? Geraldo went to war with our troops! And he supports them! And he actually broadcasted a prayer! Some freepers don't like that evidentally. They would rather cheer nasty, light in the loafers, Keith Olberman as he attacks him. What's up with that?

It's the Jonah syndrome. Some Freepers just don't want Nivevah to be saved. Ironic since northern Iraq is where Nivevah once was.

It was more than that - he was truly transformed by 9/11. Seriously. And I've been one of his biggest detractors over the years.

I have to agree with your assessment. I observed the same thing. In fact, I remember him stating on air how much 9/11 changed his outlook and he said it was because parents of classmates of his children were killed in the WTC and it enraged him to see those children whom he knew up front and personal, left without their parent or parents.

That is ironic and I think very true!

Since we're (mostly) feeling the love for Geraldo in this thread--and it's weird that I have been swayed to even tolerate him, as I'm not the most forgiving guy when it comes to liberals--let me just say for the record that I saw the Al Capone special, and I don't think it was as bad as legend suggests. Yeah, he had egg on his face when it was opened and there was nothing in there but a dirty old bottle. But, the bulk of the program--what happened while the crew was digging into the vault--was a biography of Al Capone. I didn't know much about the man at the time, so it was all very interesting. This was back before Biography, so those kinds of programs were not so commonplace. One thing I remember is that he almost didn't even open the vault at all. I don't know if it was actually held over, but if it wasn't, it happened right at the very end of the program.

I also saw the broken nose thing when it happened. Roy Innis had murder in his eyes. Can't blame him. That Metzger guy is disgusting.

My husband used to despise Geraldo. He would leave the room when I had his show on back when he was with NBC. Now he really likes him and appreciates his reports with our troops. My husband is military and people have to measure up for him and Geraldo does now. Thanks for your info about his former shows. I never saw them so didn't know much about it.
