For those of you who are HBO deprived, I have to say that Dennis Miller was entertaining and refreshingly conservative (for the most part) in his one-hour special tonight. The special will be re-aired a number of times on HBO and its sister cable channels (HBO2, etc.). Do yourself a favor and watch, or get a friend to tape it for you.

This may be a repeat No, it referenced the recent appeals court decision upholding the unconstitutionallity of the pledge of allegiance, which he said happened 'yesterday'
"the court says I can burn the flag but I can't salute it while it's burning."

N, I don't think he's a hypocrite at all. I think that like a lot of people, he woke up one day and smelled the coffee. He may have had a realization while watching liberals on TV that liberals politicians are idiots and the sane folks making sense are the politicians with the "R" beside their names. There have been a lot of turning points for ex-Denocrats in the last few years - the Clinton scandals, the Gore attempted power-grab, or 9/11. Or maybe it was just the fact, like Miller said, that he likes Bush because he's not Clinton. He said it feels good to have a president that he can respect. Whatever the reason, let's not reject Miller if he does not share every single one of our values. Let's welcome him as a brother, and continue to show him the best of what we have to offer. He's come a long way, so let's give him credit!

Pardon my contradiction, but I found the first 10 minutes of the show so lame that I had to change the channel. The first half was pretty scattershot, but then immediately veered off into a solid 30 minute bashing of all things liberal. It will certainly put to rest any question as to whether he's become a conservative.

Everyone's talking around the .40. I own a S&W CS40 and LOVE it. The grip is pretty thick though, but I'm 6'2" so it fits me great. The wife's a different story though. She's only 5'2". She has to hold it with 2 hands.

Dennis was a kid during SNL. Now he's married with children. People do grow up. I liked the show.
Fredo was the dumb brother-in-law in the Godfather. He used to fish in a boat on the pond with Sonny's kid. That's where he met his maker one day when Sonny was tired of him.

I have a Ruger 44 mag rifle...kicks pretty good.
I'm saving it right now for a terrorist invasion...
I hunt in brush in Northern Michigan...perfect for the location.
Anybody approaching my place will be sorry...I'm deadly acurrate even at 100 yards with that piece.
I'm looking for a handgun for quick, personal protection.

He couldn't resist getting in a dig at Mississippi & their flag (even though it was approved by the voters - what a concept!).
Also, he had to pick at the NRA a bit.
It was pretty funny, all in all, but I wouldn't vote for him. :)
