The liberal media somehow is trying to present as if this mild looting somehow overshadows the importance of the entire liberation of a nation.

I think part of the problem is the context in which looting often takes place in the States. I mean, I can understand looting after numerous decades of murderous oppression... but after your city's football team loses the Super Bowl?

I can understand why the press is focusing on the looting in Iraq, since it's been a part of American thuggery for the past couple of decades. The press is, of course, stupid and misguided for equating the two, but I can understand it.
