"North Korea hinted Saturday it could accept U.S. demands for multilateral talks to discuss the communist country's suspected nuclear weapons program."
---
Right after our successful "21 day war" against Iraq.
It's amazing what a little show of real force and resolution can accomplish. Seems like the Iranians are rethinking their stance too.

Absolutely right. And fortunately for us, President Bush understands this and is basing his foreign policy on this. We are already seeing the results.

"BTW, our president is using diplomacy at a level you will never understand"

The poster, whose post you were responding to had a ;) at the end of the post, was clearly being sarcastic, just mocking the Democrats.
Everyone around here recognizes that Bush has more vision that the Democratic party put together, and some.
To: OperationFreedom
"Liberal HOGWASH. These people do not understand diplomacy."
---
Apparently you missed the ;) (wink) at the end of the person's post, who was obviously just mocking the liberal line and was just being sarcastic, NOT serious, so don't jump down that poor person's throat.
Conservatives are supposed to have a sense of humor, only leftists are totally humorless.

At least, Kim Jong Il calmed his saber wrattling.

We FReepers should coin a phrase to mean the opposite of "collateral damage". In this war, we had little collateral damage (unintended negative consequences and casualties), but a whole lot of collateral benefits from other countries realizing that the stupes are no longer in control, and that they had better respect us.

Once everyone sees we are not a paper tiger again we will win wars without shooting. A reason to despise Clinton's damage and a reason to cheer for Bush.YUPPERS! Nothing promotes peace - I'm serious about this - more than kicking some little pissant country to hell and back.
I know it sounds terrible, but really third world countries only have respect for power
Another "quagmire" bits the dust.
BINGO in spades... (what's a little mixed metaphor among FRiends?) --- you've all said it really well.
I didn't think President Bush had any chance at all to get the Demodog's do-do cleaned up in only one term, but as far as foreign policy is concerned, it's looking pretty good so far!

You are right, NKs are brainwashed, but just wait to see how long that would last after they get more than a half cup per day of rice in their bellies...
