The announcement might herald a dramatic change in North Korean policy.Option "B" would have meant a "dramatic change" in Kim Jong's projected life expectancy.

BTW, our president is using diplomacy at a level you will never understand. but it is working. And it is a good thing. But delusional people have their heads too far in a dark stinky place to really see what is going on. Not saying you do of course. Just saying that this is usually the case.

I sense a need for "regime change" in NK.
Heh Heh... maybe the 7th fleet can cruise by the Sea of Japan on their way back to Pearl.

"On Friday, North Korea said it would never give up its nuclear programs and compared U.N. inspections to "taking off our pants" and giving Washington an excuse to invade."
It's a step in the right direction that the mentally deranged leader of North Korea finally gave an inch. But it is only an "inch." The end-game of this round of diplomacy has to include N. Korea giving up its nuclear weapons program, period. If not, this country poses a double-whammy of a national security threat. If the mentally-deranged midget in Pyongyang continues to develop his nukes not only will N. Korea be a direct threat to the folks who live in Alaska, Hawaii and the west coast (not to mention South Korea and Japan), the commies will also be a one-stop shop for terrorists looking for a little "ammo"... War isn't inevitable but it has to be viable option. And, in this instance, we're not talking hundreds of casualities, we're talking tens of thousands of casualities, maybe more...

I liked how Newt Gingrich told O'Reilly the other night that we don't necessarily need to be loved. Just respected.

I believe "evad" was being facetious in his comments...

"The commies just blinked."
Agreed. But there's a big difference between a commie leader, like Kim, who, for all intents and purposes, belongs in the psych ward on Rikers Island and and a clinically-sane Mikhael Gorbachev...

"It is possible to solve the issue if the U.S. sincerely approaches the dialogue," said the spokesman, who was not identified by name.
We'll approach North Korea very sincerely. With battle-hardened troops and our aircraft carriers. Just be patient, Kim.
"What matters is the U.S."
And our partners. What doesn't matter are the feeble squeaks of Old Europe, i.e. the Weasels.

Yo Kim Chia Head Short Dong should be really worried if a Naval Group is leaving the Iraqi war effort.

It needs more than a regime change. The PEOPLE are brainwashed, I mean utterly brainwashed by the government.
They would not revolt against their gov. They are like cult members who follow the leaders to their deaths. They worship their leaders as gods. Its sick.

Lessee... um... DOD is pleased to announce that two carriers are LEAVING the iraq theatre.
No word when they will arrive back in port.
