The abortion issue is one where the moderates need to get militant. The extremes have dominated the debate, and the positions of all too many politicians. The result is stasis. It is time to try to break the logjam, and lance the boil of this issue, which in so many ways poisons the dialogue in the public square, and fashions hard political lines, which tend to spill over in a negative way into other issues. JMO, and I know the moderate opinion on abortion has relatively few supporters on FR. But it is my opinion.
