I doubt it will be any more dangerous than, oh, Toronto, in a few months. By that time the Fedayeen Saddam and Special Republican Guard thugs will all be dead or gone. Most of the criminals in Iraq were recruited into those organizations. Kill them and you have a pretty crime-free environment.

I hope you're right. But there are so many people with scores to settle, and so many rival factions and clans in Iraq that I can see some serious fighting going on there for a few years. But in a few months Baghdad will probably be no more dangerous than South Central LA, and the heavily policed areas will be as safe as Toronto.
